Biography of Father Eduardo (Eddy) Morales

Father Eduardo (Eddy) Morales was born in Uvalde, Texas on December 8, 1959.  Father Eddy is the sixth of eleven children born to Juan and Genoveva (de Hoyos) Morales.  In 1978, Father Morales graduated from Uvalde High School; in 1982, he graduated form Our Lady of the Lake University with a Bachelor Degree of Social Work; and in 1985, he graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with a Master Degree of Social Work.  After earning his Master's Degree, Father Eddy backpacked across Europe for six months before beginning work for the Children's Protective Services in Austin and San Antonio regions.  Father Eddy entered Assumption Seminary in August of 1991.  He served a one-year Internship here at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles between 1994 and 1995. Father Morales graduated from the Oblate School of Theology in 1996 with a Master of Divinity.  On June 21, 1996, Father Eddy was Ordained at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uvalde, Texas.  He has served as the Parochial Vicar at Saint Mary's Church in Fredericksburg, Texas, as Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Comfort, Texas, and Pastor of St John Neumann, San Antonio, Texas.
